We were engaged by a stylish Brazilian family living in Blackrock, Co. Dublin, to transform their house, which they had bought from the developer and had many poor quality finishes. Our brief was to design a home that truly reflected their personality and love of art and colour. We were hired to redesign the key living spaces and create beautifully tailored rooms for working, relaxing and growing as a family.

Kitchen, Bar & Dining

The original kitchen and dining space lacked character, so we introduced a bespoke scheme in deep navy/aubergine joinery with refined stone worktops and antique brass accents. A fluted island, grey mirrored splashback and warm integrated lighting lend depth and softness. Along one wall, a series of illuminated display and bar cabinets conceal a fully equipped bar and coffee station, making entertaining effortless while keeping the look clean and architectural. Little details like the patinated brass shelf brackets and the backlit reeded glass add a touch of glamour and a boutique hotel feel.

Teenage Daughter's Bedroom

For their 13-year-old daughter, we designed a calm yet sophisticated bedroom in soft blush and warm neutrals. The bed sits within a bespoke joinery niche, wrapped in fluted panelling with concealed LED lighting and brass wall lights for a gentle glow. Full-height wardrobes with arched mirrored doors and slender brass pulls maximise storage while visually enlarging the room. A floating dressing table, detailed with ribbed pink edging and an arched back-lit mirror, creates a glamorous, hotel-inspired space for getting ready and studying.

Son's Bedroom

Their 11-year-old son's room was conceived as a cool, grown-up space that can evolve with him. A wraparound slatted oak headboard and textured wall create a strong, architectural backdrop, washed with warm linear lighting. Overhead cabinetry, a tailored bedside and soft grey joinery keep the room organised. A run of open, lit shelving displays Lego models and treasured objects, while a generous desk and gaming set-up provide space for homework and play.

Bespoke Oak Home Office & Entrance Joinery

A new oak-lined home office offers a serene workspace for the adults, featuring full-wall joinery with integrated desks, display cabinetry, leather-detailed handles and brass task lighting. Bespoke entrance hall joinery with 3 secret doors completes the project, giving the family a refined, welcoming first impression that quietly showcases the craftsmanship carried throughout the home.
